Italy devastation also mentioned in May 2008

April 7, 2009
Second mention of Eastern Italy devastation in May 2008
In May 2008 I once again spoke of the devastation that was coming upon Eastern Italy.
I have reproduced that article below also along with another vision for Europe, which I had at the time.
As I leave tomorrow for 3 weeks of preaching and teaching in London, Liverpool and Manchester in England  I am very aware of God’s desire that revival comes to Europe as soon as possible. Even the creation itself, just as it did at Sodom, is crying out because of the sins of mankind in Europe,Genesis 18:20-21.
Pray that the Lord use me in some small way to glorify His name.

Subject: Trojan horses stand proud in Europe
While praying for Europe early this morning and especially for Eastern Italy and those to be caught up in a devastation in that area, I saw a vision of thousands of Trojan horses standing proud and readied for war.

Those horses were located in strategic places in every European country and, as in the Trojan historical account; the inhabitants of those countries were sleeping. Suddenly crazed warriors emerged from the Trojan horses and fires broke out in shops and homes as the enraged hoards rampaged through towns and neighbourhoods. The destruction raged first through the UK and then Northern Europe. Great fear and bewilderment fell on the inhabitants of those lands. They stood transfixed, mouths open and minds racing; they just couldn’t comprehend what they were witnessing. “How could these we have given worldly hope and refuge to rise up against us and destroy the Western lifestyle we’ve welcomed them into?” they asked one another. “How can they mercilessly slaughter those who do not give glory to their religion and prophet?”

Despite the horror of this vision we must remember that God has in the past allowed such wickedness loose for a season, but He always has a remnant of faithful believers among the nations. Despite this, no deliverance comes to that nation if the sons of God are not the first to fall on their faces, repent and cry out to God day and night in order to be filled, led, empowered and anointed with His Spirit so they can overcome the enemy of God’s kingdom through Christ’s power in them (Colossians 2).

In the light of today’s move by Satan to attempt to destroy God’s Kingdom upon the earth through Islam, the devastation facing Europe will not be reduced or quenched unless Christ’s disciples get serious about God’s kingdom business right now. God’s kingdom business is solely the saving of souls (Luke 19:10); not the worship formats so favoured among many believers today. Also we must not ignore the fact that most Western governments, at local and federal levels, are currently passing legislation at blinding speed in order to bind up the conversion activities of Christ’s disciples.

Church-goers – the worldly influenced, worship focused, Sunday services are over; fervent prayer and bold witnessing must again be paramount in disciples’ lives, even on Sundays in their neighbourhoods! If it is, then true worship will emerge at night from the results of such bold witnessing during the day (Acts 4). It will not emerge from repetitive, worship focused meetings from 10am-12 noon on Sundays only.

What was Jesus’ focus? Jesus was emphatic about saving souls; that was His God given mandate and His first priority and He warned in John 9:4 that the time to do it was limited. Truly, there will be plenty of time to worship in heaven, but right now heaven is only rejoicing when souls are saved (Luke 15:10), not when two hours of programmed activities are convened once a week to conjure up feel good worldly “worship”!

The outcomes in Europe have implications for all Western nations. Europe will be engulf in the very nucleus of this Islamic attempt through its planted cells of faithful martyrs to overwhelm the West from within, but the repercussions will race like a tsunami across the remainder of the world. If therefore the remnant of disciples in the remainder of the world will truly cry out to God and seek to be filled, led, empower and anointed with His Spirit in order to seek and save the lost, those nations will also be spared much sorrow and many lost will be saved.

We are foolish if we think the Father is so pleased with our worship orientated, Sunday gatherings rather than our discipleship making of the lost that He will not fulfill in us individually and corporately what Peter wrote below…

I Peter 4:12-19, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you: 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear? 19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.”

Italian earthquake prophecy fulfilled today!

April 6, 2009
Fifteen months ago I had a vision of devestation from an earthquake in Eastern Italy. It was stated in this article I wrote dated 18th Feb 2008.
Since the day I had the vision during a prayer meeting in the small town of Roelands, Western Australia I have prayed daily that few would be harmed.
It would appear that few have been harmed in today’s devestating earthquake in Eastern Italy, thank you Lord!
The details of the prophecy are recorded in blue below.

Fear the good times!

They were good times. Money was easy to get, credit was readily available, political correctness was embraced, God’s Word was seldom heard, manmade, religious programmes had replaced a covenant keeping relationship with God, mammon was worshipped, and all this was going to last forever – hallelujah! hallelujah!

Sound familiar? Well familiar as it may seem, it is not about today’s lifestyle. It is about Israel in the days of Isaiah. Yet, it should be taken as a dire warning to us today.  Here is what Isaiah preached during the times of Israel and her neighbouring nations’ prosperity:

Isaiah 24:1-6

·         Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste, distorts its surface and scatters abroad its inhabitants.

·         And it shall be:

As with the people, so with the priest;

As with the servant, so with his master;

As with the maid, so with her mistress;

As with the buyer, so with the seller;

As with the lender, so with the borrower;

As with the creditor, so with the debtor.

·         The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, for the Lord has spoken His word.

·         The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away; the haughty people of the earth languish.

·         The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

·         Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

As it was, so shall it be! Take to your knees and pray. Fast and learn to go without. Return to the Word of God and turn off your home entertainment. Count on nothing being secure, other than your faith in God. Demand the Word of God, and only the Word of God, be preached in your assembly. Put away church entertainment and fall down on your faces before the Lord in the assembly and seek His will for your life. But most of all, trust not in these times – trust only in the Lord. Many who claim to know Christ will surely fall away when present times fail and hard times begin in the months ahead.

Woe to those who live in Europe and especially Eastern Italy! Devastation stands at your door. I would say repent, but your ears are waxed up and your heart hardened and you know nothing of the fear of God anymore. Your enemy is among you and yet you do everything possible to ignore his presence. God’s Word is no longer allowed to be heard in your midst and therefore you are blind and there is no light is in your lives, and yet you think you understand all things. Even if Isaiah or another prophet came among you, you would reject his word. You brazenly choose to travel the wide road through the wide gate that leads to destruction just so you can continue to be the gods of your own lives. Sadly, what is about to befall you shall spill forth upon all your neighbours and the rest of the world. This time God is against you, not with you as He was before. Dread is coming upon you for you have forgotten Him who delivered you in the past.

This world needs us — NOW!

April 5, 2009

I would like to write a million words on this occasion, but who would read them?

Surely most disciples of Christ must be greatly troubled at this time as we hear of senseless mass killings, suicide bombings, misguided politicians fantasying about their power, popularity and deluded statesmanship, imminent wars between nations and godless minorities forcing changes to legislation in most developing nations.

I rack my brain continually about how best to win just a few to Christ, let alone humanity as a whole. I analyze and ponder all kinds of methods of outreach but inevitably I come back to what I’ve learned from the first century disciples.

How come the first century disciples turned the world upside down during their lifetime? What was it they were led to do that we aren’t doing? Ah, contained in that question is the answer – they were “led” continually by the Godhead’s direct involvement in their God appointed ministries. The Book of Acts confirms this in so many places. Why, they were even given specific addresses to go to and the names of specific people to ask for from time-to-time. Also let us not forget that angels assisted them on occasions.

Our failure to change the world lies in our failure to realize that when we were converted we became traitors to Satan’s kingdom and allies of Christ’s kingdom and enter into the fullness of the Godhead and all that it is and can do, Col. 2:8-12. This is distinctly different from putting aside the country club activities on a Sunday and replacing them with church activities. The reality is; Kingdoms conqueror other kingdoms, they do not build Camelots!

So the reality is; Satan is presently in our faces, mocking most of what is being done in the name of pleasant and soothing religion! But for those who have a mustard seed of faith and live for the kingdom of God they disregard such mocking. Their Christ has overcome this world and the principalities and powers in the heavenly places that influence it. They don’t do things in the name of any religious order or denomination, they do it in the name of Christ and they turn this world upside down wherever they can, just as their brothers and sisters did in Christ’s name in the first century!

Surely it is time to get off the back foot and advance against the insidious darkness of unbelief in the nations and do all that is possible in Christ in order to win the few Jesus spoke of. Let’s get out of our Camelots and tear down those Satanic strongholds in the hearts of men and woman across the nations and fill the void with Christ. Let’s use every possible method we are “led” to use in order to bring them to Christ, despite the personal physical cost and the financial cost!

(Your prayers are solicited at this time as I am leaving Australia for London and Liverpool on Wednesday for 3 weeks of Extreme Life Seminars and gospel outreaches)

Which Jesus do you serve?

April 4, 2009

-Posted by Brendon Powell.

There seems to be more than one Jesus to choose from these days – which one is the true Jesus and who am I following?

·        There’s a ‘seeker friendly’ Jesus, He’s the one who will not
offend anyone in anyway. He loves everyone no mater what they do.

·        There’s a ‘sow and reap’ Jesus, He made a covenant with man
so that man could sow His seed and reap wealth and happiness on
earth and then go to heaven when he dies.

·        There’s a ‘blend in with the world’ Jesus, He wants us to look
like, act like, and be like the world in order to reach the lost.

·        There’s a ‘neverending grace’ Jesus, His ‘grace’ covers us no
matter what we do or how we live.

·        There’s a ‘just believe’ Jesus. As long as you truly believe
in your heart, you’re saved.

·        There’s a ‘name it claim it’ Jesus. You name it; anything and
it’s yours!  If you don’t get it, it’s because you lack faith. It’s your fault.

·        There’s a ‘carnal’ Jesus. He doesn’t expect you to overcome
sin; He understands you’re just carnal.

·        There’s a ‘heart dwelling’ Jesus. All you have to do is ask
Him into your heart and voilà, He’s there.  You’re going to heaven!

Truth :

·        There’s the Jesus who said “Repent and believe the gospel,
the kingdom of God is at hand.” -Mark 1:15

·         He said, “Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him.” -Lk 9:23-25

·         He said without Him you are already condemned.  -John 3:18

·         He said He came to save the world -John 3:16

·         He said unless you forsake all you have, you cannot be His disciple.
-Luke 14:33

·        He said if we love anyone more than Him we are not worthy of Him.
-Matt 10:37-39

·         He said if you love this life you’ll lose it. -John 12:25-26

·         He said you cannot serve God and money. -Matt 6:24

·         He said fear God who can destroy both body and soul in hell. -Mt 10:28

·         He said be extreme in your war against sin. -Matt 18:8-9

·         He said love God with all your heart, soul and mind and your
neighbour as yourself. -Matt 22:37-39

·        He said He is the light of the world. -John 8:12

·        He said the gate is narrow and the way is difficult and few find it.
-Matt 7:13-14

·        He said those who believe in Him but work iniquity will be
cast out. -Matt 7:21-23

·        He said you’ll be hated for His name’s sake, but if you endure to
the end, you’ll be saved. -Matt 10:22

·        He said I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to

·        the Father but by Me. -John 14:6

Without prophets, God’s kingdom struggles!

April 2, 2009

One of the most influential ministries in God’s kingdom is also the most misunderstood, the most misappropriated and the most uncomfortable. However it is among the charismata to be coveted if the church is to be consoled, edified and exhorted, 1 Corinthians 14:1-4. And yet, like most ministries appointed by the Lord Himself to function in the church (1 Cor. 12:28-30, Eph. 4:11-16, Romans 12:3-8), it has been replaced by the solo preaching act of the “senior pastor” and a staff of executives overseen by a board of directors or board of elders. This is not scriptural! It is not acceptable! It is not effective! Such worldly clerical appointments never have, nor will they ever produce lasting results in any country; especially among idol worshippers or Islamists.

There can be no true consoling, edifying, comforting in the Body of Christ if the ministries God Himself appointed within the church are resisted by men and women with power agendas or who fear to welcome God to be Himself in their midst. The world sees only the religion of men in such institutions and the power of God is, at best, limited among them.

From among Pentecostal believers to the most orthodox of the religious, prophets have been silenced. And yet, if ever there was a time in history for prophets to be heard it is now. The prophetic ministry (not preaching ministry as some advocate 1 Cor 14:4 means) must be allowed to function in the Body of Christ. The great thing about the prophet’s role is that they cannot deceive anyone, for if what they declare does not come to pass or has no substance of truth in it, they are exposed as frauds. Other ministry roles though can deceive believers and non-believers and there are so many elders, pastors, teachers, apostles, evangelists and psuedo-prophets out there who look good and sound good and are hard to distinguish from the real thing. This alone is one good reason why the prophet is needed today – to reveal the corrupt fruit so many fraudsters deceitfully bare.

When the church begins to recognize the God ordained role of the prophet once again, elders who are not spiritually qualified will be removed from their politically appointed offices, teachers who fail to exegete God’s word correctly will be stood down, preachers who tickle ears will find no one to preach to, and finally the clerical mindset will be removed. Only then shall all who come to assemblies where God’s truly appointed ministry roles are active, including that of the genuine prophet, will have the secrets of their hearts revealed and declare God is with the believers in that place, 1 Corinthians 14:25.

Why has the Body of Christ gone so far away from these simple principles? Why doesn’t it let God reveal those He has called to the various offices of ministry that He has designate in order to console, edify and comfort the Body of Christ while it waits for the marriage feast of the Lamb? The answer is FEAR in the first instance and the loss of humanistic POWER in the second. The fear I speak of is the fear of letting God be God in the lives of the assembled saints as they gather to surrender to God’s will in His ministry of reconcilation, 2 Cor. 5:17-6:2. The humanistic power I speak of exists in virtually every assembly of believers on the planet and is a hideous abomination that binds the saint and impedes the work of God’s Holy Spirit among them and the lost in the world, Acts 7:51-53.

Yet a simple solution exists. Just recognize the role of the genuine prophet again and allow God to speak when He wants to once more to assemblies through those whom He appoints to this role and God’s kingdom will be as it is supposed to be in this present world, 1 Corinthians 12:28; 14:26-33.
